Features and Specs
  • Composition:90% Recycled Polyester / 10% Elastane
    Made in: Italy

Caring for your cycling gear properly will extend its life and maintain its performance, fit and quality. It's important to consider these instructions carefully. While we stand behind the quality of our apparel, not adhering to these instructions will void our warranty against manufacturing & defects.

We strongly recommend washing your new gear before wearing it. You'll find that your apparel will soften, and fit & comfort will improve after washing - especially with bibs & shorts.

Machine wash cool, 86°F (30°C) with like colors: Cooler temps maintain better longevity for your apparel. Like colors, especially lights, will remain more vibrant when washed with like colors.

Use mild detergent. Do not bleach or dry clean: Strong detergents & bleach can break down the fibers and elastane in the garment, dramatically reducing its life.

Close all fastenings: this goes also for other garments mixed in with your cycling apparel. Velcro closures or clasps can catch on stitching or trim and damage your garments.

Lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry: Do not put your cycling apparel in the dryer. Even on low heat. Don't do it. Heat can damage fabric, elastic and heat transfer logos very easily. Lycra (Elastane) is used throughout our garments to provide compression and support and is susceptible to damage from heat and can irreparably damage your apparel.

Visible imperfections are classified by size, type and location. Locations are defined as noted below, with tighter tolerances used for the most visually prominent zone (Zone 1), and reconditioning tolerances increasing as prominence decreases, in Zones 2 and 3.

Zone Definitions

Zone 1

Zone 1 features the most visible areas of the garment, and has the tightest repair tolerances.

Zone 2

Zone 2 includes areas lower on the garment with less prominence.

Zone 3

Zone 3 includes areas of least prominence, like inside the garment or under arms / between legs.

Toggle through zones below to see definitions.

Repair Tolerances

Abrasion

An abrasion means there is a small patch (or patches) where the fabric is scratched or worn away, usually from friction or rubbing of a trim against a material. An abrasion may slightly change the color or texture, and often looks shiny.

There will never be more than five abrasions on a product.

  • Zone 1: Only one minor abrasion no longer than 2.5cm (1").
  • Zone 2: Up to two minor abrasions no longer than 5cm (2").
  • Zone 3: Up to three moderate abrasions no longer than 7.5cm (3").

Button Damage

Most damaged buttons will be replaced with a similar style. When we can't replace the button, it'll say damaged button instead of replaced.

  • All Zones: Slightly abraded, scuffed, or scratched button.

Color Bleed

Color bleeding occurs when the dye in a product leaches out and transfers onto another part of the garment fabric.

  • All Zones: Minor color bleeding.

Cords

If they are functional, cords may have small snags or abrasions. If the damages are too obvious or look like they are too worn, cords will be replaced with a similar style.

  • All Zones: Slight abrasion, small visible snag or damaged cords have been replaced with a similar style.

Delamination

Delamination is when the coating starts to peel away from the surface of the fabric. We only approve minor patches of delamination on products that are sold as Reconditioned.

  • Zone 1: No delamination.
  • Zone 2: Minor delamination no longer than 1.5cm (.5").
  • Zone 3: Minor delamination no longer than 2.5cm (1").

Fabric Defect

Defects are mostly "slubbed" fabric where slight knots and knobbles can be seen or felt as thicker, raised patches. There will never be more than four fabric defects.

  • Zone 1: Small fabric defect no longer than 1.5cm (.5").
  • Zone 2: Small fabric defect no longer than 2.5cm (1").
  • Zone 3: Small fabric defect no longer than 5cm (2").

Holes Repaired

There will never be more than three repaired holes on a product. We do not repair holes on waterproof garments.

  • Zone 1: One small hole that is .5cm (.25") or less in diameter.
  • Zone 2: Up to two small holes 1.5cm (.5") or less in diameter.
  • Zone 3: Up to two small holes 2.5cm (1") or less in diameter once repaired.

Marks

A mark is a slight visible flaw similar to a stain that often looks like it was made by a pencil or pen.

There will never be more than five marks on a product.

  • Zone 1: One small or light mark, .5cm (.25") or less.
  • Zone 2: Up to two small or light marks, 2.5cm (1") or less.
  • Zone 3: Up to three small or light marks, 4cm (1.5") or less.

Puckered Fabric

Puckered fabric often occurs due to slight shrinkage, and is most often visible along seams.

  • Zone 1: Slight puckering, less than 2.5cm (1").
  • Zone 2: Slight puckering, less than 5cm (2").
  • Zone 3: Slight puckering, less than 7.5cm (3") each.

Runs

A run occurs when a snag causes a fiber to break and a small portion of the knit to come undone, running up the grain of the fabric.

There will never be more than five repaired runs on a product.

  • Zone 1: One small run visible after repair up to .5cm (.25").
  • Zone 2: Up to two small visible runs 5cm (2") or less.
  • Zone 3: Up to three small visible run(s) 7.5cm (3") or less.

Snags

A snag occurs when a rough or sharp object pulls a fiber from its normal pattern.

There will never be more than five snags on a product.

  • Zone 1: One small snag visible after repair up to .5cm (.25").
  • Zone 2: Up to two small visible snags 5cm (2") or less.
  • Zone 3: Up to three small visible snags 7.5cm (3") or less.

Snaps Replaced

All products will have a complete set of snaps that look similar but may not be exactly the same.

  • All Zones: Replaced with a similar snap(s).

Stitching Repairs

Stitching repairs often leave the area slightly thicker or involve seam tape on the inside of the garment.

  • Zone 1: Up to 5cm (2") broken stitch repaired using a similar color thread.
  • Zone 2: Up to 7.5cm (3") broken stitch repaired using a similar color thread.
  • Zone 3: Up to 7.5cm (3") broken stitch repaired using a similar color thread.

Streteched Fabric

Stretched fabric occurs due to the over extension of elastic or similar fibers and typically happens along seams.

  • Zone 1: Slightly up to 1.5cm (.5").
  • Zone 2: Slightly up to 2.5cm (1").
  • Zone 3: Slightly up to 4cm (1.5").

  • All Zones: Replaced with a similar button(s).

Cord Ends

Most damaged cord ends will be replaced with a similar style. When we can't replace them or the scratches are very light, it'll say damaged cord ends instead of replaced.

  • All Zones: Original aglet(s) are replaced to blend in.
